Fall Updates From The ArtsBot
Hello ArtsBot Family!!!
Hope you had a great Halloween and were able to enter our contest for a chance to win the “Clay With Me” subscription box!
I must say Halloween was a bit of a bust here in New York City where normally, the kids trick or treat from building to building! Most of us live in apartment buildings and this year, the buildings did not allow anyone from the outside to come in. When I went to CVS, all the Halloween candy was on sale. It was all about COVID19. Sadly, the numbers are rising all over. PLEASE! MASK UP!
On top of all that, we were also preparing for the election. By the time you read this blog post, we hope that all of the ballots have been counted.
Like many places, New York City prepared itself for any possible post-election rioting by boarding up the storefronts. I got a bit nervous and made an unexpected trip to Costco right before Election Day. Trust me I was not the only nervous one, because the lines were all the way to the back of the store. Got what I needed and went right home.
The weather is beginning to get cold and sadly it is affecting the outdoor dining. A few places have indoor dining, but not like it was pre-COVID.
I wish I had better news to report!! So, what is good?
One positive note, is we are flush with groceries and doing lots of cooking. For those of you who are cooking, what are you making? I love the sheet pan recipes. So easy with a fast cleanup! I am meeting my friends and trying to get those last walks in before it’s too cold.
Another good thing is that the holidays are around the corner. They will be different, but they will always have me thinking about creativity. I love to make my holiday gifts and those of you have read my blog posts in the past, you know I love needlepoint. Over the years, I have made luggage tags, belts, bags, and all kinds of beautiful and usable items like that for gifts. I always have to start early because these things take time!! What are you making? Here is a preview of my projects:
My son goes to the University of Alabama, Roll Tide. And for my daughter? Go Hoosiers!
With online school, the need to reduce screen time is now more important than ever! As you know, The ArtsBot craft kits are the creative, screen-free alternative for all the creative kids on your holiday shopping list.
Our kits are compact, tidy and they go anywhere and nowhere. Wherever you are, The ArtsBot is ready to go! And best of all, they are mess-free, stress-free and really fun. When you’re ready to travel, they are TSA compliant, so they are easy to pack and go. Your child will be engaged in creating a one-of-a-kind, critical thinking, decision making and improving fine motor skills. Yep, it’s all in the bag! www.theartsbot.com
