Tantrums, meltdowns, and more!

Have you ever experienced your child having a meltdown in the grocery store, or what about a tantrum because you didn’t cut off their crust off “right.”  Our children sure know how to push our buttons. We can’t control when a tantrum comes, but what we can control is how we respond.

Try taking a mindful pause. Here’s how:
  1. Pause
  2. Take deep breaths for 10-20 seconds
  3. Focus on these breaths, feel them passing through you.
  4. Repeat your killer mom mantra. For example, “This will pass,” “I got this,” or “I have so much to be thankful for”

Believe it or not, this simple action can actually make you more patient in parenting and overall a happier calmer you. Give it a try!
